If you’ve been following Keon Coleman since he joined Michigan State football, you’d know he’s not lacking any confidence.
Keon Coleman has just seven career receptions, but there’s no doubt about it: he’s a fan favorite.
Michigan State fans have embraced Coleman ever since he committed to the Spartans over dozens of potential suitors. He’s a dual-sport star and arguably one of the most naturally gifted and athletic prospects the program has had over the past few years.
It was clear right away that Coleman was going to be a really good Spartan football player.
Although he had just seven catches for 50 yards as a true freshman, he showed flashes and he has the frame and athleticism that will make him a matchup nightmare for defensive backs.
Following the football season, he turned right around and played for Tom Izzo.
Hard-working doesn’t even begin to describe Coleman. He’s a hard worker, he’s athletic, he’s strong, he’s talented, and he’s confident.
How confident? According to Keon Coleman, you should “buy the stock” in Keon Coleman now.

Brimming with confidence, Coleman believes he is ready to take that next step.
I believe him and you should, too.
Coleman stands 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, he has strong hands, and he is a better athlete than most defenders he’ll face this season. He also has a job as a starter this year. Everything is lining up for Coleman to be a superstar in this Michigan State offense.
What’s going to help him even more is the fact that Jayden Reed is going to garner a ton of attention, allowing Coleman to draw single coverage often. I’m taking him in a one-on-one situation 10 times out of 10.
Someone has to fill that Jalen Nailor-sized void in the receiving corps and while I believe both Reed and Tre Mosley are going to have big seasons, Coleman is going to become a household name in 2022 and he’d be the first to tell you that. Actually, he has been saying that.
And his rapport with Payton Thorne is fantastic.
