OK, maybe he was never truly gone, but he finally looked like his normal self in <a href=\"https:\/\/spartanshadows.com\/michigan-state-basketball-4-takeaways-from-physical-win-over-maryland\/\">Michigan State\u2019s 63-54 win over Maryland<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Walker has been on a little cold streak recently, failing to score over 15 points in three straight games. Again, he hasn\u2019t been bad by any means, but definitely not up to his standards.<\/p>\n<p>That all changed against Maryland where he exploded for 19 points. He also added three rebounds, two assists, and a steal as well. That ties the program record that star guard Kalin Lucas holds.<\/p>\n<p>We all know how great Walker is, and scoring double digits is never that difficult for him, but this record is an amazing feat. <a href=\"https:\/\/msuspartans.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\">Michigan State<\/a> has had many dominant players and elite scorers over the years, but none have been able to do what Lucas and Walker have.<\/p>\n<p>To add some perspective, the last time Walker didn\u2019t finish in double digits was last season, on Jan. 29 against Purdue. In that game, he finished with nine points, so he honestly could have the record already.<\/p>\n<p>The Spartans&#8217; next game is at Minnesota on Tuesday where Walker will look to set the new program record. He went off against Minnesota the first time they played, scoring 21 points.
