Culture is an important thing for any college football program. And Jonathan Smith has done a great job of accruing high-character individuals to fill out his first roster as Michigan State football<\/a> coach.<\/p>\n While there were already plenty of great off-the-field personalities on the team, Smith has brought in guys like Aidan Chiles and Jordan Turner who are proving to be true leaders.<\/p>\n Chiles was great this spring and talked to the media about how he was getting to know all of his teammates on a personal level.<\/p>\n Turner didn’t grab as many headlines because, well, he wasn’t the No. 1 quarterback in the transfer portal, but he’ll be important to the defensive side of the ball as a potential starting linebacker next to Jordan Hall.<\/p>\n The Wisconsin transfer has “leader” written all over him and he continued to prove that on Saturday with the announcement of his annual youth football camp at Farmington (Mich.)
