Over the past few days, Jonathan Smith has been on fire. The first-year Michigan State football<\/a> coach has been adding depth pieces via the portal in guys like Lejond Cavazos from North Carolina, Jalen Satchell from Old Dominion, and Marcellius Pulliam from Miami.<\/p>\n And now he’s also focusing on building his 2025 recruiting class before National Signing Day.<\/p>\n In year one, it’s tough to really gain momentum on the recruiting trail because players are hesitant to buy in to a new regime when they haven’t coached a single game for their new school.
