Not only has he gotten a couple of important visits from the likes of Kobee Minor and Jeremiah Hughes over the past couple of days, but the <a href=\"https:\/\/spartanshadows.com\/michigan-state-football-hosting-talented-lsu-cb-transfer\/\">Michigan State football<\/a> cornerbacks coach may have just landed someone.<\/p>\n<p>Martin tweeted out a hint that there might be another commitment coming soon following the <a href=\"https:\/\/spartanshadows.com\/michigan-state-football-news-big-time-oregon-dl-transfer-ben-roberts\/\">Ben Roberts addition<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And Corey Robinson of 247Sports hinted at the same.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Michigan State cornerbacks coach <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/coach_meat?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@coach_meat<\/a> is on a heater in the transfer portal right now <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/69gNEQgi0j\">pic.twitter.com\/69gNEQgi0j<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Corey Robinson (@C_Robinson247) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/C_Robinson247\/status\/1790867787759452437?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 15, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>While this is also likely about the addition of Roberts, Martin tweeted his &#8220;bat signal&#8221; twice in a five-minute span on Wednesday which could signify another commitment is coming soon.<\/p>\n<p>If this is indeed another transfer cornerback, it would likely be either Minor from Indiana or Hughes from LSU.<\/p>\n<p>Minor was an All-Big Ten honorable mention selection this past season with the Hoosiers, recording 28 tackles and four pass breakups. He was one of the bight spots on a bad Indiana team before Tom Allen was fired. He might be the best-case scenario addition from the portal because he would be good enough to start at cornerback immediately. A cornerback duo of Ed Woods and Minor would be a massive upgrade.<\/p>\n<p>Hughes, on the other hand, appeared in 13 games as a true freshman with LSU in 2023. He played primarily on special teams and had six tackles in his first season but decided to find a new home that would allow him to play more defensively at cornerback.<\/p>\n<p>The Indiana transfer was on campus on Tuesday afternoon while Hughes was spending time in East Lansing on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Martin and Blue Adams have been making a killing in the portal this spring with additions of Woods, Lejond Cavazos, and apparently, this third mystery commitment that is on the horizon.
