{"id":20162,"date":"2024-12-07T08:00:58","date_gmt":"2024-12-07T13:00:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spartanshadows.com\/?p=20162"},"modified":"2024-12-07T03:14:31","modified_gmt":"2024-12-07T08:14:31","slug":"michigan-state-football-share-promising-message-about-the-future","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spartanshadows.com\/?p=20162","title":{"rendered":"Michigan State football players share promising message about the future"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s been almost a full week since the 2024 <a href=\"https:\/\/spartanshadows.com\/michigan-state-football-loses-another-wr-to-the-transfer-portal\/\">Michigan State football<\/a> season came to an abrupt end.<\/p>\n<p>The Spartans were fighting for bowl eligibility last Saturday before Rutgers ripped away any hope they had with a 41-7 finish to the game after being down 7-0 following the first drive. Michigan State fans were left speechless and honestly a little angry regarding the way the season ended. It felt like there was no fight. It felt like the bad years of the Mel Tucker era.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike the Tucker era, though, players came out to voice their belief in the program following the disappointing finale and they&#8217;ve been talking fans off the ledge all week long.<\/p>\n<p>First, it was <a href=\"https:\/\/spartanshadows.com\/jack-velling-has-strong-message-for-transfers-considering-michigan-state-football\/\">Jack Velling after the game<\/a>. He was asked what he would tell portal players who were looking to come to Michigan State. Getting Roberts and Matthews back will be big for the defense and both could very well be starters by the time the 2025 season kicks off.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and we can&#8217;t forget Aidan Chiles&#8217; words following the season finale. He said that he only cares about the fans who have been there the whole way and that next season will be different.
