In the sixth round, the Spartans saw Matt Gulbin and Ryan Eckley taken off the board in a span of three picks. They became the final two players selected during the Jonathan Smith regime, and 325<sup>th<\/sup> and 326<sup>th<\/sup> players selected in Spartan football history.<\/p>\n<p>Gulbin was selected by the Washington Commanders and Ryan Eckley was taken by Baltimore, a mere 43 miles away from Gulbin.<\/p>\n<p>However, they were the only two Spartans drafted. That leaves players such as Malik Spencer, Jack Velling, and Quindarius Dunnigan looking for landing spots upon the ending of the draft.<\/p>\n<p>As of 1:45 p.m. EST on Sunday, eight Spartans had landing spots, with five of them signing contracts and three with a rookie minicamp deal.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the landing spots for those players. Spencer was a Spartan that stuck the course, playing all four seasons with Michigan State football. Kelly was a single-season player, joining Michigan State after stops in Auburn and Middle Tennessee State. The Sacramento State transfer earned his way into the starting role by Senior Day, where he went and ran for a touchdown on his first carry against Penn State. The former Middle Tennessee State transfer was asked to work out at linebacker after showing some flash and speed during his Pro Day, running a 4.75 in the 40-yard.<\/p>\n<p>During his two years in East Lansing, Dunnigan recorded 42 tackles, 9 of them for loss, and 3.5 sacks, along with two forced fumbles, in 23 games. The one-year Spartan started his career with Oklahoma before heading to Texas State and finishing in East Lansing. The former UConn defensive back impressed in his last year with Michigan State, and is expected to receive some interest from the Canadian Football League as well.<\/p>\n<p>In his final season, Bell recorded 49 tackles, with five for loss including a sack, and six pass deflections.
