While injuries and inconsistent quarterback play prevented his production from reaching its potential, Reed had his fair share of electrifying plays in East Lansing.<\/p>\r\n<p>With his college career completed, Reed is looking to start his professional career. Earlier this year, he showed off at the Reese&#8217;s Senior Bowl and at the practices leading up to the event in front of numerous NFL scouts.<\/p>\r\n<p>Reed also had an impressive combine performance showing off his speed and athleticism. MSU fans didn\u2019t need to see his 4.45 40-yard dash time to tell you he was fast, they could just point you to his pair of punt return touchdowns for the Spartans.<\/p>\r\n<p>NFL.com has Reed graded as an \u201caverage backup or special-teamer\u201d but he seems to be rising up on scout\u2019s lists. That label almost seems disrespectful, and one former scout agrees.<\/p>\r\n<p>Jim Nagy is the executive director of the Reese\u2019s Senior Bowl and also has 18 years of experience as an NFL scout. Could Reed end up hearing his name earlier than expected?<\/p>\r\n<p>Reed\u2019s best season as a Spartan was in 2021 when he racked up over 1,000 receiving yards and 13 total touchdowns.
