Michigan State football just made the cut for a high three-star defensive end Caden Brown from Brooklyn, NY.<\/h2>\n

High three-star edge Caden Brown has just released his top four schools and Michigan State football<\/a> finds itself making the cut for the talented 2024 prospect. From Brooklyn, N.Y., Brown is a top-500 player in the class as well as the No. 2 player in the state.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brown is listed at 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, making him a big body that would be extremely difficult for an offensive line to handle.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s an all-Big Ten East top four for Brown as the other schools joining MSU in his final list include Penn State, Maryland, and Rutgers. It appears to be a pretty even race to land his commitment amongst these schools, however, it does look like Rutgers has a slim lead at the moment — 247Sports lists Rutgers as \u201cwarmer\u201d and Rivals has one prediction logged from March to land his commitment.<\/span><\/p>\n

This would be the first high school commitment for newly hired defensive line coach Diron Reynolds, and what a good one this would be. Michigan State’s 2024 class still sits at four commitments, with none of them being on the defensive line yet. This is a position of need that requires a lot of depth in order to be successful at the college level. It is not uncommon for defensive linemen to shuffle in and out during a series, so the more quality depth you can have the better.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brown has made one visit to East Lansing last July, and I expect MSU to make a move and get an official visit set up to try and persuade Caden to choose the Spartans over fellow Big Ten East rivals.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
