The location of the final Michigan State game of 2023 vs. Penn State has been moved to Ford Field and it caused a civil war.<\/h2>\n

I, for one, am very biased on the venue change for Michigan State<\/a> vs. Penn State on Black Friday to Ford Field given I\u2019m from the east side of Michigan and I travel back every holiday season.<\/p>\n

You can be certain that ChopMan and rest of the family will be in attendance.<\/p>\n

Who knew moving a game 90 minutes away would divide a fanbase like it was a political election?<\/em><\/p>\n

What I imagine happened in the war room was a bunch of leaders trying to find a solution to a lowly attended football game. Honestly, I can\u2019t blame them. Unless you\u2019re a true<\/em> football guy, you\u2019re choosing to spend Thanksgiving with family, especially if you don\u2019t live within close vicinity of East Lansing.<\/p>\n

The solution agreed upon is similar to Patrick Star\u2019s for Bikini Bottom: \u2018We should take MSU vs. PSU and push it somewhere else.’<\/em><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s break down the pros and cons.<\/p>\n

Pros<\/h3>\n

  • Beer sales<\/li>\n
  • Warm<\/li>\n
  • Kids get to play in an NFL stadium<\/li>\n
  • Primetime<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Cons<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • No snowballs<\/li>\n
    • Season ticket holders get screwed (kinda)<\/li>\n
    • Lose a true home game<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Honestly, I do see both sides of the argument but people who argue you need to \u2018put a good product on the field\u2019 are wrong. Whether MSU football is playing for its 12th win of the season or 12th loss, the attendance is always weak. Just a mixture of holidays and cold weather (mostly the holiday).<\/p>\n

      With that all being said: I\u2019m still going to have fun. <\/strong>Why? Because it is college football and college football is the greatest sport in America no matter where it\u2019s played. Game in Antarctica? I\u2019m watching. Game in the desert? I\u2019m watching. Under water? Also watching. At the end of the day, it\u2019s a big game and we should be excited no matter where we play.<\/p>\n
