That seems to be a thing of the past.<\/p>\n<p>Over the weekend, the mother of <a href=\"http:\/\/spartanshadows.com\/nick-marsh-receives-michigan-state-futurecast-from-psu-analyst\/\">Nick Marsh<\/a> posted a clip from a &#8216;Locked On Nittany Lions&#8217; podcast episode in which Rivals&#8217; Penn State writer Richie Schnyderite spread a little misinformation and took a shot at Michigan State.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Btw Nick is a 4\u2b50\ufe0f <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/zwpvYCKtBh\">pic.twitter.com\/zwpvYCKtBh<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; MaMa_Tron210 (@MamaTron210) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MamaTron210\/status\/1675571270669271046?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 2, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>One, Richie called Marsh a three-star recruit (he&#8217;s a four-star). Two, he said he&#8217;s only leaning toward Michigan State because of NIL (not true). And three, he said that Marsh is rated too high (if anything, he&#8217;s too low).<\/p>\n<p>Everything Richie said was summed up perfectly in this one tweet:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Claiming a 17 year old is \u201coverrated\u201d and just chasing money when he doesn\u2019t pick your school is nasty business<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; MSU Chief of Propaganda (@OdellBretthamJr) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/OdellBretthamJr\/status\/1675582184583733249?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 2, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Basically the Penn State reporter said that he wouldn&#8217;t rank Marsh as high as he is. He claimed he&#8217;s probably not a top-50 or top-150 player like he&#8217;s currently rated by most services and claims that he&#8217;s believed that for a while. Hopefully this isn&#8217;t a trend that continues because, well, it&#8217;s lame.<\/p>\n<p>Knocking a kid for potentially going with his gut and where he feels most like family and also trashing the school that he may attend just because you cover a rival program is a bad look. Richie may claim to be unbiased, but we all know that&#8217;s not true.
