Most notably, the Spartans just added four-star wide receiver <a href=\"http:\/\/spartanshadows.com\/nick-marsh-had-one-of-the-best-commitment-videos-youll-see-video\/\">Nick Marsh<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Marsh has publicly stated that his family wanted him at Michigan State. When he came for his official visit in East Lansing, many of his family members joined him. In a recent viral video, Marsh can be seen dancing around Spartan Stadium with his grandma.<\/p>\n<p>Now that Marsh has re-committed to Michigan State, we\u2019re seeing in real-time just how much of a family affair his recruitment was. Nick&#8217;s mother, known on Twitter as MamaTron, has already gone to work recruiting for the Spartans.<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s not just recruiting, she\u2019s going straight for the top. MamaTron tweeted at the highest-ranked recruit currently on Michigan State\u2019s radar, five-star David Stone:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\ude01Yes ma\u2019am <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/TNOAHh76a4\">https:\/\/t.co\/TNOAHh76a4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; David \u201cStoney\u201d Stone Jr. (@iamdavidstonejr) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/iamdavidstonejr\/status\/1677792201097478147?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 8, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>There could be layers to this short message. Stone was recently quoted saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>OU is like the place where I&#8217;m from, but Michigan State feels like home.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>David Stone would immediately become the highest-rated player in Michigan State&#8217;s 2024 class if the Spartans were to add him. At this point though, Oklahoma is still seen as the favorite.<\/p>\n<p>Whether or not Stone ends up in green and white, it\u2019s seeing recruits&#8217; families getting involved in trying to build the MSU roster. With Nick re-committing to the Spartans, it\u2019s likely we\u2019ll continue to see more messages like this from MamaTron. She\u2019s not alone. MamaTron, along with Momma Hall (mother of Michigan State freshman Jordan Hall), have become fan favorites for their involvement with both fans and players.<\/p>\n<p>Stone has publicly stated he\u2019s in no rush to commit to a school. He\u2019s wanting to wait until he\u2019s 100 percent sure of his selection.
