Who decommitted now?<\/h2>\n<p>Last week, <a href=\"https:\/\/spartanshadows.com\/michigan-state-football-one-of-the-most-attractive-jobs\/\">Michigan State football<\/a> lost its first commit in the post-Mel Tucker era as three-star Florida cornerback Camren Campbell reopened his recruitment. At this point, you can&#8217;t blame these kids for keeping their options open.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, the Spartans lost their second commit.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Thank you MSU Staff and Fans for all the love and support. This doesn&#8217;t come as a huge surprise seeing as Powers has been one of the fastest-rising prospects in the class, going from a three-star to a four-star recruit. He&#8217;s jumped into the top 400 nationally and his rise has been on everyone&#8217;s radar in recent weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Clearly he&#8217;s drawing more interest from top programs after a strong start to his senior season and he could see the offers start rolling in.<\/p>\n<p>Michigan State interim head coach Harlon Barnett has to do some damage control and he has the difficult job of trying to retain talent while making sure the program doesn&#8217;t completely crumble under his watch. He didn&#8217;t ask to be in this tough position, but he&#8217;s done a solid job thus far, but there could be a mass exodus when Michigan State officially announces the firing of Tucker.<\/p>\n<p>The decommitment of Powers isn&#8217;t a huge surprise, though. He has been considered one of the best commits in Michigan State&#8217;s class and he has some big-time offers like Ohio State, Oklahoma, and UCLA, and his sheet of over 30 scholarships is likely to skyrocket.<\/p>\n<p>At this point, you can&#8217;t do anything but support these kids who were put through an unfortunate situation by a coach that they trusted.
