Week 6 is over and holy upsets, batman. In total, seven teams ranked in the AP Top 25 lost last week. This is the college football craziness we’ve come to know and love.

Speaking of craziness, Mario Cristobal blew a game in the most painful way possible for the second time of his career. Michigan State fans laughed cause we like to see Miami suffer. Personally, that gave me a little cause for concern. I’d rather not have more big name schools need coaches to fill as well. It was still hilarious to see, though.

We also had one of the biggest college football rivalry games in sports take place last week in the Red River Shootout. That game once again lived up to its thrilling billing. Oklahoma scored the go-ahead touchdown with 17 seconds to play to beat Texas.

Let’s check out the rest of the scores from our picks.

Week 6 results

No. 12 Oklahoma vs. No. 3 Texas — Line: Texas -6.5; Result: Oklahoma cover

No. 23 LSU at No. 21 Missouri — Line: LSU -6.5; Result: LSU cover

Rutgers at Wisconsin — Line: Wisconsin -14; Result: Rutgers cover

No. 13 Washington State at UCLA — Line: UCLA -3.5; Result: UCLA cover

Purdue at Iowa — Line: Iowa -1.5; Result: Iowa cover

Colorado at Arizona State — Line: Colorado -4.5; Result: Arizona State cover

No. 11 Alabama at Texas AM — Line: Alabama -2.5; Result: Alabama cover

No. 20 Kentucky at No. 1 Georgia — Line: Georgia -14.5; Result: Georgia cover

No. 10 Notre Dame at No. 25 Louisville — Line: Notre Dame -6.5; Result: Louisville cover

No. 2 Michigan at Minnesota — Line: Michigan -19.5; Result: Michigan cover

For the staff picks recap: Our consensus picks of Notre Dame and Alabama went 1-1. So that is not terrible? We mostly all lost the Colorado and Washington State games. Shout out to Joey for picking ASU and UCLA on those. Also shout out to Max with the horns down call of OU beating Texas. He was the only person to pick that. It was another week, another rough performance, for me. I tried a new strategy when making the picks and well that didn’t do much.

As for records this week, we were all clumped together again. The top two performers last week were Joey and HopMan. They both went 6-4. Next we have Anthony and Daily going 5-5 with solid splits. Everyone else went a close 4-6. Not much separation will come from this week. That is expected though.

Let’s check out the standings.

Updated standings after Week 6

Daily MSU: 33-25-2

Connor: 32-26-2

Emmett: 31-27-2

(Tie) Max and Hop: 30-28-2

Chris: 28-30-2

(Tie) MSU Recruits and Joey: 27-31-2

Anthony: 26-32-2

Side Competition updates:

Welp, Daily’s ascent to the top of our leaderboard is now complete. He did lose a game in his battle with HopMan however after Hop tied for the best record last week. Can Daily keep up his hot streak and keep his distance of three games? Both guys are rounding in to form at the half waypoint. Could be a great race down the stretch.

In the battle for the Cane’s Box: Anthony was able to gain a game back on me this week. His ability to split 5-5 was key as I continue to struggle. Hopefully this week, I can turn it around a bit. My lead over Anthony is now at two games.

Now, onto the Week 7 college football picks.

Week 7 picks

Disclaimer: All lines are as of 3 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 10, from FanDuel.
