Newest Michigan State commit Jase Richardson showed flashes of his dad, Jason, with a massive dunk on Friday.<\/h2>\n

Michigan State’s 2024 recruiting class grew by one this week as four-star combo guard Jase Richardson committed to the Spartans over Alabama and Cincinnati. Yes, as you probably know by now, Jase is the son of Spartan legend Jason Richardson.<\/p>\n

Jase is known more for his complete game and ability to play both guard positions. He can handle the ball and he can play off-ball and catch-and-shoot or take the ball to the rim. He’s a versatile player but he’s not exactly known as a high-flyer. Jase can thrown down, but he’s not the same level of athlete that his dad was when he was in East Lansing and the NBA as a Slam Dunk Contest champion.<\/p>\n

No, Jase is much more of a finesse player who can throw down the occasional dunk.<\/p>\n

But on Friday night during a game at Overtime Elite, Richardson showed flashes of his dad, throwing down one heck of a dunk over a defender who probably shouldn’t have jumped.<\/p>\n
