Overnight, a new development broke that forces me to acknowledge and write about this.<\/p>\n<p>For those living under a rock, Michigan and head coach Jim Harbaugh are under investigation for sign-stealing allegations that date back to 2021. It is alleged that assistant coach Connor Stalions led a sign-stealing operation that involved sending individuals to upcoming opponent\u2019s games to record their sideline signals in order to decipher their plays.<\/p>\n<p>There had been rumblings that Stalions, a graduate from the Naval Academy, attended the <a href=\"https:\/\/spartanshadows.com\/michigan-state-football-stock-watch-whos-up-down-after-minnesota-loss\/\">Michigan State football<\/a> season opener in person against Central Michigan. Last night, photos were posted of a CMU \u2018staffer\u2019 eerily resembling Stalions on the CMU sideline at the game.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Well, well, well\u2026 <\/p>\n<p>Is that Connor Stalions wearing CMU gear, on the CMU sidelines as they opened their season up against Michigan State? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Bxl8Bzeail\">pic.twitter.com\/Bxl8Bzeail<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; AthletesInSpace (@AthletesInSpace) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AthletesInSpace\/status\/1719189255904272566?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 31, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h3>There are a few interesting thoughts here:<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>MSU\u2019s opener was a Friday night game and this staffer was wearing sunglasses.<\/li>\n<li>The staffer has very similar facial hair and features to that of Stalions.<\/li>\n<li>Lastly, the CMU \u2018staffer\u2019 in question appears to hide his face from the camera when a play ends right in front of him.\u00a0 Video below.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">now why is a cmu staffer trying to get away from the field when no one is coming near him and pulling his hat over his face and looking down at the ground? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Y0XtnQJtTw\">pic.twitter.com\/Y0XtnQJtTw<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; maxwell (@maxwellklitzke) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/maxwellklitzke\/status\/1719220479939039378?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 31, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Just when you thought the sign-stealing probe couldn\u2019t get any more hysterical, it appears Stalions may have attended MSU\u2019s season opener disguised as an opposing team\u2019s staffer potentially with the goal of stealing MSU\u2019s signals.<\/p>\n<h3>Here\u2019s what\u2019s weird:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Sunglasses to a night game? Not crazy but certainly unusual. I\u2019ll give the individual in question the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he wanted to block out the stadium lighting.<\/li>\n<li>The facial features \u2013 the only thing that doesn\u2019t match up is the hair. Stalions tends to keep a buzz cut while the \u2018staffer\u2019 in question appears to have some hair under his hat. Maybe a wig? Maybe Stalions missed a couple of buzzcut sessions?<\/li>\n<li>Hiding from the camera; it&#8217;s pretty clear the \u2018staffer\u2019 did not want his face on camera. He looks down and pulls his hat over his face.\n<ol>\n<li>\u2018But UrbzMan, how does he know the camera is on him?\u2019\n<ol>\n<li>The play ended within 10 feet of him. The camera is going to follow the ball until the play is over.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The game was on a Friday. Michigan played the following Saturday which opens a window for Stalions to potentially attend the game.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Right now, everything is speculation. It is just as likely that this is a doppelganger as it is Stalions himself. If it proves to be true that Stalions attended the game in person, this could be bad news for Michigan and would call into question the validity of the Wolverines&#8217; game results from 2021 to the present.
