Michigan State football has been heating up on the recruiting trail and the Spartans are trending with a pair of offensive linemen.
It’s been one heck of a weekend for Mel Tucker and Michigan State football thus far. It kicked off with one of the most important official visit weekends of the year and it’s been highlighted by commitments from four-star running back Anthony Carrie and three-star defensive back Syair Torrence.
And the Spartans aren’t done yet, it seems.
Michigan State is trending according to the 247Sports crystal ball with a pair of three-star offensive linemen after their visit this weekend. Mercer and Charlton Luniewski were on their official visit this weekend and the brothers are now looking like Spartan leans.
On Sunday morning, 247Sports MSU insiders Justin Thind and Corey Robinson placed crystal balls for the Spartans to land the twin offensive linemen with a confidence level of five.
While the confidence level doesn’t exactly scream “MSU lock”, it does feel like the Spartans may hear some good news from the twins sooner rather than later.
Could we hear about a commitment from the brothers on Sunday night? Potentially. From the sounds of it, there will be more commitments on the way even after Torrence’s pledge earlier in the afternoon. I wouldn’t be shocked if they announced their pledges to Michigan State shortly after they get home from East Lansing.
Mercer Luniewski is ranked the No. 844 prospect in the nation and No. 67 offensive tackle and Charlton is No. 1,402 nationally and No. 112 in terms of interior linemen. They would be a great addition to the class.
Landing a strong four-star group with the Luniewski twins, Logan Bennett, and Andrew Dennis just one year after signing the best offensive line class in over a decade makes for some great depth.
More good news could be coming soon, folks. Buckle up.
