Jonathan Smith and Michigan State football extended an offer to the No. 3 offensive tackle in the country on Monday.
Jonathan Smith and the Michigan State football coaching staff have made another massive scholarship offer on Monday. The staff has been prioritizing the trenches recently, specifically on the offensive line, and that is no different here.
With how important the offensive line is in college football, it’s no surprise to see this elite offensive tackle pick up an offer from MSU.
Meet four-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola
Andrew Babalola is a four-star offensive tackle from Overland Park, Kan. He is 6-foot-6 and 275 pounds and is one of the premier offensive tackles in the 2025 class. According to 247Sports, he is the No. 21 player in the country and No. 3 offensive tackle. He also is the No. 1 player from the state of Kansas as well. Typically, the No. 21 recruit is a five-star, but 247Sports tends to keep kids ranked low early in the cycle then will slowly bump them up. So if I had to guess, Babalola likely will be a five-star in no time.
According to his 247Sports profile, Andrew is fairly new to football, which makes his ranking even more impressive. He also has experience in AAU basketball which speaks to how athletic he is. Andrew is quick off the ball and does an excellent job at getting to the second level extremely fast. He has all the characteristics that you’d want to see in an offensive tackle, giving him one of the highest ceilings in the country.
Babalola has racked up 30 offers so far including Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Michigan, USC, Alabama, and Florida State. As you would imagine, this recruitment is going to be very challenging for Smith and his staff to win. But you can’t win these premier recruiting battles unless you try, and that’s exactly what MSU is doing.
Time will tell if Michigan State has a legit chance or not, but I personally won’t get my hopes up until Andrew plans a visit to East Lansing.
