Sophomore quarterback Aidan Chiles has received some high praise from a couple of national college football analysts.
All of Spartan Nation is excited to see Aidan Chiles in Spartan Stadium this fall. He was the No. 1 transfer portal quarterback this offseason and Michigan State was able to earn his commitment thanks to his connection with Jonathan Smith at Oregon State.
MSU has high hopes that he will help take the Spartans to the next level and become a force in the new Big Ten. However, people outside of East Lansing are also taking notice of Chiles and have high hopes for him as well.
One of five sophomore QBs to watch this spring
Jesse Simonton with On3 released his five sophomore quarterbacks he’s most excited to watch this spring, and Aidan Chiles made the cut. He was included along with Nico Iamaleava, Arch Manning, Avery Johnson, and Jackson Arnold. Now that is quite a list to be included on.
Simonton said that “Chiles could be just the QB to spark a toothless Spartan offense.”
I couldn’t agree more. We haven’t seen a good offense in East Lansing since 2021, and I think that all will change this season. Aidan is one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the country and already has had success on the field as a freshman with Oregon State.
His elite skill set as well as the experience he already has will do MSU wonders this year.
Love from a former teammate at the NFL Combine
Cam Mellor with College Football Network continued the high praise for Chiles. He is covering the NFL Combine and caught up with a former teammate of Chiles, Ryan Cooper. When asked about Chiles, Cooper said “Aidan Chiles is going to take East Lansing by storm. He’s an incredible worker and an incredible athlete.”
Ryan Cooper didn’t need to say this about Chiles. I honestly wouldn’t expect any former Oregon State player to give Aidan this much praise now that he’s no longer with the Beavers program. But maybe that shows just how special Chiles is.
His former teammates saw how special Chiles was both in practice and games at Oregon State. And he must’ve really impressed them for a teammate at the NFL Combine to take the time to comment on him at Michigan State.
The hype around Aidan Chiles is only growing and the fall can’t get here soon enough. Expectations are growing in East Lansing, now it’s time to meet them for the first time in a few years.
