Michigan State basketball played Toledo earlier in the month, and the Spartans cruised with a 58-point first half. However, the second half was a letdown, with Toledo easily outscoring MSU. In fact, were it not for some late three-pointers by the Walton twins, the Spartans would have failed to score 30 in the second half.

That said, Brennan Walton and Colin Walton each hitting their first ever three-pointers back-to-back delighted the crowd and the bench, with the general remark being thankfulness from the starters. After they had terrorized the starters on scout team, the Waltons had their shots go in and count.

Jaxon Kohler was the standout for the Spartans, riding a first-half double-double to victory. Meanwhile, Sonny Wilson dominated for Toledo, finishing with a season-high 29 points.

Nolan Gerou was on hand to capture the game for Spartan Shadows, and here are his best images from the December contest.
