After receiving a flurry of crystal balls to land Mikeshun Beeler, Michigan State football may be on commit watch again.
Ever since Jonathan Smith was hired in East Lansing we have seen him bring in countless commitments to the Michigan State football program. Whether it be from the transfer portal or high school recruits, Smith has been able to get a lot of kids to come to Michigan State.
With the 2024 class’ signing day right around the corner, the Spartans might have one more commitment on the horizon.
MSU trending for 3-star DT Mikeshun Beeler
Mikeshun Beeler is a three-star defensive tackle in the 2024 class. He is 6-foot-4 and 280 pounds and from Chicago, Ill. During his senior season, he tallied 45 tackles with 18 tackles for loss. Beeler also is three-time all-city selection and was an all-state selection as a senior.
Beeler isn’t the highest ranked recruit in the world as the 247Sports composite rankings have him as the No. 1,140 ranked player in the country. He also is the No. 119 defensive tackle in the country and the No. 27 player in Illinois. Even with the lower ranking, he still has plenty of offers from big schools. Oregon, Illinois, Colorado, Nebraska, Texas A&M, and Georgia Tech are a few of the other schools who have offered him. But it’s Michigan State that stands out above the rest.
On Jan. 30, Beeler received four crystal ball predictions to commit to Michigan State. Three of them came from MSU insiders and one came from a national recruiting analyst. Four predictions, with one being from a national guy, usually means very good news is on the way soon for Michigan State.
There is no timeline for a commitment yet, but with signing day coming soon it could be any day now. Stay tuned as I’d guess we will likely will hear an announcement from him soon.
