Michigan State basketball signee Jasiah Jervis has been selected to the McDonald’s All-American game on March 31, 2026. Out of the four signees in the Spartans’ 2026 recruiting class, Jervis was the only one to receive an invitation.

Jervis is currently rated as the best recruit in Tom Izzo’s 2026 class according to the 247Sports composite rankings. The New York native is ranked No. 26 in the nation, No. 4 at his position, and No. 4 in his state.

Ethan Taylor, Carlos Medlock, and Julius Avent are the other three recruits slated to suit up for the green and white next season. All four signees are four-star prospects and within the top-80 players in the nation.

Those rankings put MSU at the second-best recruiting class in the nation, only behind Duke who has three of the top 15 players in the class committed.

Back to Jervis, the fluid guard is the first Spartan to be a McDonald’s All-American since Jeremy Fears and Xavier Booker were selected back in the 2023 recruiting class. This means that MSU will have two McDonald’s All-Americans on their team next, assuming that Fears does not declare for the NBA draft or enter the transfer portal.

Taking a look at Jervis’ highlight tape shows just how comfortable he is with the basketball. He is a reliable catch and shooter, showing flashes on the fastbreak and during half-court offense. It just seems like the game is so much slower for him than the other players. Jervis plays under control and on his own tempo.

Freshmen do not normally play a ton of minutes or even excel with the Spartans. It is usually their junior or senior seasons where we see the development. But for Jervis, it’s possible that he could step right into the scoring two that MSU needs to partner with Fears.
