Fresh off his announcement of his top four schools, 2026 offensive line recruit Greg Patrick announced he would be stopping by spring practice in East Lansing on Saturday. The top Michigan State football target for 2026 confirmed the news that broke from Spartan Tailgate.
The 275-pound tackle from Portage Northern High School is no stranger to East Lansing. He has been on campus a few times already since being offered by Michigan State football back in 2023. Patrick also confirmed he will be coming to East Lansing on an official visit the weekend of June 6. Patrick’s dad, Joseph, also was an MSU player in the early 2000s.

I say as many times as the staff can either get Patrick on campus or visit him, the better. He is a very talented player and has many schools pursuing him. While he’s narrowed his list down to four schools, you still want to see the coaching staff working at building their relationship with him.
Patrick’s other top schools include Michigan, Notre Dame, and Penn State. All of these schools are fairly close to home. He also is looking for a program that can develop him and potentially land him in the NFL. Also he would like a good academic school as well. Michigan and Notre Dame have already signed major 2026 offensive line targets. I’m not sure how that will affect Greg’s decision. Would he want to join forces with other top talent or could he want to carve his own path?
That question will be answered later this year but for now, it’s nice to see him back with the Spartans for a visit. Jonathan Smith and Jim Michalczik have built great relationships with Patrick so far. We’ve also seen images of Patrick and current class of 2026 MSU commit Kayd Coffman working out together. Offensive line depth has been a priority for MSU and landing a top 175 kid in the country would go a long way to help that.
