Michigan State football quarterback signee Alessio Milivojevic has jumped drastically in the On3 rankings.
The 2024 Michigan State football recruiting class is essentially wrapped up, but the recruiting sites are still shuffling around their rankings. All of the recruiting sites provide updates to their rankings pretty regularly, but one Spartan in particular just received a huge increase on one of the sites.
Three-star QB Alessio Milivojevic
Alessio Milivojevic (or A-Mili) is a three-star quarterback from Naperville, Ill. Alessio is not the highest-ranked recruit, but he made a huge jump on one recruiting site.
On3 had Alessio as the No. 1,212 player in the 2024 recruiting class until Monday when he made one of the biggest jumps I’ve seen. He moved all the way up to No. 821 in the 2024 rankings. A nearly 400-spot increase is something I have not seen before. This shows that every Spartan fan was right when they said he was ranked way too low.
This jump also moved Alessio to the No. 53 quarterback in the entire class. I know this isn’t the ranking MSU fans might hope for in a quarterback recruit, but this massive increase shows that he is far better than most give him credit.
Senior season in review
As a senior, A-Mili led his team to a 10-3 record and a trip to the State Semifinals. He completed 251-of-345 of his passing attempts (72.8%) and accumulated 3,408 yards with 40 touchdowns and four interceptions. These stats are good enough for the second-most passing yards and touchdowns in the entire state.
Alessio also made the honorable mention list for the 247Sports Dream Team at the OT7 Finals in June. Knowing he had this great of a performance in front of the recruiting site’s scouts makes me very surprised that he didn’t get this rankings increase sooner.
Milivojevic won’t be the starter for Michigan State this season, that spot will likely be for Aidan Chiles. But it’s nice to know that the Spartans have another solid quarterback available to them in the future. He also is a good backup to have in case the quarterback room suffers any injuries this season.
Alessio also is an early enrollee so he is already on campus with Jonathan Smith and the coaching staff. I for one am very excited to see how he looks once the spring game rolls around.
