The kickoff time has been announced for the Week 3 Michigan State football game against the Boston College Eagles.
As the season progresses, we’ll have more kickoff times revealed for Michigan State football and they’ll likely adjust based on how good — or bad — the Spartans are.
Since Michigan State is 2-0 with a road win over Maryland, the Spartans might be getting some 3:30 p.m. ET or primetime kickoffs.
And that seems to be the case for one of the biggest games of the first month of the season: at Boston College.
The Spartans will travel to Chestnut Hill in Week 4 to face one of the surprise teams from the ACC who beat Florida State down in Week 1. It was a shocking result, but it made Michigan State fans realize that the Eagles won’t be an easy team to beat.
After that Week 1 win at Florida State, the Eagles took it to Duquesne, 56-0, and improved to 2-0 on the season. This week, they’ll be headed to Missouri which will be one of the toughest games on the schedule for Bill O’Brien and Boston College and I’d expect a loss there. If the Eagles somehow win, they’ll move up even more in the rankings and Michigan State’s Week 4 task becomes that much tougher.
Well, I have some bad news, it’s going to be an incredibly tough game either way considering Boston College will be playing its “Red Bandana” game and the kickoff time is officially set for 8 p.m. ET.
That’s right, Michigan State will have to go into a hostile environment for the second time in four weeks to start the year but this time it’ll come against a ranked opponent under the lights. The atmosphere will be electric but the toughness level for this game is rising rapidly.
Let’s hope Spartan fans travel well for this one because this team is going to need some support on the road.
