A new Michigan State NIL campaign was officially launched on Monday and it’s drawn plenty of attention.
A new NIL campaign for Michigan State has just gone live! Spartan Nation NIL is a new opportunity for Michigan State fans and alumni to directly support the Spartan sports programs by donating to this NIL organization.
Here is a quick video posted by the organization announcing their new opportunity.
Sparty Nation NIL
There is a lot of information available on their website above, but the organization lists their mission statement as follows:
“To impact the future of Michigan State Athletics by empowering Spartan student-athletes to leverage their unique identities and talents.”
Sparty Nation NIL takes it one step further with its vision statement:
“To create opportunities that inspire, elevate, and enrich the lives of Michigan State student-athletes, teams, and the greater Spartan Nation community.”
Other things to note include that you can donate any amount of money to the organization in many different ways. They also have different membership packages based on how much you donate that can give you some perks. The site has six packages, with everyone qualifying for the first package. The rest of the packages range from bronze to diamond and can be met by donating $50 per month up to $1,000 per month.
The organization isn’t a complete not-for-profit, but they do explicitly state their goal is for greater than 90 percent of donations to go to student-athletes.
What does this mean for Michigan State fans?
This organization provides a direct way for all fans and alumni to directly support the Michigan State athletics programs. NIL isn’t going anywhere, so I’m glad to see MSU offering their fans a way to help out their programs.
More information is likely to come out in the future, but the benefits of donating are endless. But it’s a safe assumption that this will play a huge role in improving MSU’s athletic teams.
Here is another link to their website if you’re curious to check it out. Regardless of the success of the campaign, I’m just happy to see that Michigan State is doing everything it can to help out its student-athletes.
