Did Michigan State’s most hated rival player Hunter Dickinson pen his official goodbye to Michigan ahead of a decision?

Not having to face Hunter Dickinson ever again? Sign me up.

It looks like Michigan State fans may not have to see Dickinson on the hardwood again — at least not as a Michigan Wolverine.

Yes, we know that Hunter has already entered the transfer portal, but there has been speculation for weeks that he might still be considering Michigan. There have been top contenders named including Kansas, Kentucky, Villanova, Georgetown, and even Maryland, but Michigan has always been brought up as a “he might decide to return” option.

That might not be an option anymore.

On Wednesday night when no one else was really expecting any sort of news from Dickinson, he posted what felt like a farewell letter to Michigan fans. He went as far as to say “It’s time for me to move on.”

Spartan fans have to feel good about this post as it pertains to the rivalry. Not having a player on the other side who lives to be a thorn in the side of his rival will be nice. Plus, Michigan State hasn’t had a player who could stop him defensively recently. He had some career games against the green and white.

And you can bet Tom Izzo will be happy to see him moving on. He and Hunter have gotten into it before after the Michigan big man started trash-talking the Hall of Fame coach on the bench last year.

Of course this could all just be a ploy to drive up the attention on his official announcement and maybe he’s just trying to fake everyone out. If there’s one thing Hunter Dickinson loves, it’s attention. He could very well be saying “it’s time for me to move on” knowing full well he’s going to return.

Either way, we’ll know tomorrow if Michigan State will ever have to face him again.
