Michigan State football lands another 2024 DB commit

Michigan State football landed its second 2024 defensive back commit of the day as Camren Campbell joins the class.

Its been reported that Michigan State football has been getting rave reviews on how its official visits have been going this month.

Many experts believed that after last weekend’s round of visitors, the Spartans should be on commit watch. That turned out to be true earlier today as we reported that MSU landed three-star safety Reggie Powers out of Ohio.

Well, Spartan fans were just treated with a little more good news when a top MSU target announced his commitment on Twitter.

In fact, 2024 three-star cornerback Camren Campbell out of Tampa said he was “1000% committed” following his official visit last weekend. The speedy corner is a very underrated pick up for the Spartans.

Tucker and staff were one of the first major schools to recognize his potential and open recruitment on him. His recruitment was picking up steam of late with schools such as Ole Miss, Kansas, Louisville, and Minnesota starting to make strides for him.

Camren’s speed is his biggest weapon. He is a very fast and fluid corner that moves well. He runs a self proclaimed 4.42 40-yard dash and could be a big boost for the Spartan secondary. That secondary has now landed two commits on the day and momentum for the 2024 class is now building rapidly.

Camren is from the same town as another high profile Spartan target in Anthony Carrie, a four-star running back, who was also on campus last weekend. He stated he was really happy with the way his visit went. Camren committing could go along way in aiding in Carrie’s commit.
