The newest Michigan State football commit, Camren Campbell, is already doing some recruiting of his own in the 2024 class.

The newest Michigan State football commit is already doing some recruiting of his own.

Camren Campbell, a three-star cornerback who just announced his commitment to the Spartans on June 14, is reportedly pushing for four-star running back Anthony ‘Scoota’ Carrie to join the program as well.

Carrie is rated as a top-275 player in the nation and the No. 22 running back in the country, according to 247Sports. Although Campbell and Carrie don’t attend the same school (the former hails from Tampa Bay Tech, the latter from Carrollwood Day), they are both from Tampa, Fla.

Carrie has been connected with Michigan State — he just took an official visit to MSU last weekend, and the Spartans currently hold two out of three 247Sports crystal balls for the talented runner. He took his visit on the same weekend Campbell did, and it’s not crazy to think that Carrie could follow suit in committing sooner rather than later.

As we’ve seen previously, one player committing can set off a chain reaction of other guys following him.

It’s great to see that recruits are sold on the program and ready to help improve it right off the bat. Seeing players who just committed mere hours ago already pushing for others to follow shows that guys are invested, and that’s a great sign for the Spartans.

Carrie has not set a date to announce his commitment yet, but keep an eye out this summer.

Let’s hope Campbell gets his wish.
