Michigan State football picked up a big win over Nebraska on Saturday afternoon and players reacted accordingly.
There is no greater feeling in sports than winning. But what about winning after a six-game losing streak? That makes winning feel that much better. As a fan, it is such a relief to finally see Michigan State football get its first Big Ten win of the season. But that’s all I am, a fan. I’m not out there grinding every day at practice like the players are. The players are the ones lifting weights, going through summer conditioning, and making plays on the field, not me. If it feels this good as a fan, I can’t even imagine the emotions the players are feeling right now.
All of their hard work is finally paying off. When almost everyone doubted them, they came away with a clutch 20-17 victory over Nebraska. They have every right to celebrate this win and feel good about what they did.
Some Michigan State players took to Twitter after the game to celebrate the big victory on Saturday.
Let’s see how some of our favorite Spartans reacted.
Spartan player reactions
Below are reactions from Try Mosley, Nick Samac, Jalen Thompson, and Simeon Barrow after the Nebraska win.
I really hope we get to see a lot more reactions like these before the season is over. Michigan State’s best opportunity for another win will come in two weeks when they travel to Indiana. Next week, Michigan State travels to Columbus in what could be a game against the No. 1 team in the country. Imagine for a second how good the reactions would be if the Spartans won that game. We’ve done it before so why can’t we do it again?
Regardless of how the rest of the season plays out, I am beyond proud of this team. They were dealt an impossible hand this season and have handled it extremely well. They deserve the chance to celebrate themselves, and I hope they get to again next week.
