Michigan State football appears to be sitting in prime position for a huge 2024 prospect. Four-star top-130 running back Jason Brown has been extremely high on the Spartans’ priority list this summer. It now appears the feeling is mutual from Brown as well.

On Aug. 23, Brown received his third 247Sports crystal ball prediction to pick the Spartans. This third prediction could be the biggest and most telling yet.

Washington insider locks in prediction in favor of Michigan State

It’s always a big deal whenever you receive a prediction to land a recruit. More often than not, it is typically a good sign for your team. However, there is always a sentiment around your own team’s insiders predicting a favorable outcome for a recruit because they may be a little biased. When the prediction comes from a rival team, it feels like it means more.

Brown’s top three schools are Michigan State, Oregon, and Washington. And on Wednesday, a Washington insider logged a prediction for Brown to commit to Michigan State. The Huskies are clearly pushing hard for him, so this intel coming from a Washington insider is massive. This likely confirms that Michigan State is way out in front in Brown’s recruitment and has a great shot at winning his commitment.

Michigan State insiders Justin Thind and Corey Robinson logged predictions to win this recruitment on June 26. Those predictions, being from hometown reporters and now two months old, made me start to question their accuracy.

However, the addition of the prediction from the Washington insider erases those doubts in my mind.

Extremely talented 2024 running back class

Michigan State’s 2024 running back class will be one of the best in the country if Brown picks the Spartans.

The Spartans already hold a commitment from Anthony Carrie who is an elite recruit on his own. Carrie is also a four-star running back and is a top 300 player in the 2024 class. Getting one four-star running back in your class is already amazing. But locking in a second is when it becomes one of the best running back classes in the country.

No commitment date has been announced for Brown yet, so there is still work to do.
