Someone tell Keon Coleman this isn’t a prison after all.

Uncommitted five-star defensive lineman David Stone loves himself some Michigan State. He even said MSU is his favorite campus.

Five-star defensive lineman David Stone has long loved Michigan State. Mel Tucker has been recruiting him for a while now and Stone has always spoken highly of the Spartans.

Yet it’s always interesting when national articles come out painting the Spartans as an outside program looking in on his recruitment. Many major publications make it seem like Michigan State has zero shot to land him while Florida, Miami, and Oregon are the main threats to Oklahoma.

While it’s likely true that Oklahoma is the leader in his recruitment, it feels like Michigan State is his No. 2 school.

The Spartans have been recruiting him almost as long as anyone else and he’s said that East Lansing is his home away from home. Every time he talks about Michigan State, he seems to gush.

On Saturday, he gushed about Michigan State yet again. He was answering questions on his Instagram and he was asked what his favorite campus was. His answer? East Lansing. Not a huge surprise given the fact that he’s stated that it’s home for him multiple times. Does that mean he’ll play college ball in East Lansing? Not necessarily, but this is certainly a good sign.

It feels like David Stone is the anti-Keon Coleman. Stone loves East Lansing and calls it home while Coleman said his time at Michigan State was a “two-year sentence.”

Stone also said that his favorite picture with his little brother was while they were wearing MSU jerseys in the Spartan Stadium tunnel. Admittedly, this picture is incredible.

Hopefully all of this love isn’t for naught. At the end of the day, he has to go where he feels most comfortable and at home. Fortunately (or unfortunately) for him, that happens to be at multiple schools.

This recruitment may come down to the wire.
