Less than 48 hours after entering the transfer portal, Michigan State football cornerback Charles Brantley has withdrawn his name.

Over the last few days, the Michigan State football program has not gotten great news and that includes Keon Coleman, Payton Thorne, and Charles Brantley entering the portal.

That streak of bad news officially ended on Tuesday morning as it was announced that Brantley would be withdrawing his name from the transfer portal following just one full day in it.

Brantley tweeted “loyalty out values everything” and then shortly after, it was reported that his name was no longer in the portal. We have seen players talk about loyalty in the past and Charles is showing that while he entered the transfer portal, he was ultimately loyal to Michigan State as he would not have withdrawn if he wasn’t that.

This is great news for Michigan State as Brantley is a player that has made huge plays in the past.

What does this news mean for the cornerback room? This news means that Michigan State has more depth and a player that has played big-time snaps coming back to a room that has struggled. While Brantley is one of those players that have struggled at times like everyone in the cornerback room, he is a hard-hitting corner that will make some special plays.

This news also means that things are not falling apart for Michigan State football like they seemed to be doing a few days ago. This is a great thing not only for the program but for the fans as well. Hopefully this is just the start of good news for the football program. It’s good to see that a player realized that grass isn’t always greener on the other side and maybe Coleman will do the same.

Welcome back to Michigan State, Charles Brantley.
