Coen Carr, a 2023 Michigan State basketball signee, has officially won the High School Slam Dunk title, flexing that athleticism.

Coen Carr is a freak. That much was for certain before the High School Slam Dunk Championship hit the airwaves on Sunday afternoon.

Now that he’s the slam dunk champion at the high school level, everyone around the nation knows exactly what kind of athletic specimen Tom Izzo and Michigan State are getting next year.

The four-star incoming freshman won the competition (which actually took place on Friday) with some electrifying dunks. He gave off some Shannon Brown vibes in the dunk contest win with a free throw line dunk as well as some between-the-legs throw-downs and other impressive slams.

Here’s what he did in the dunk contest to take home the title:

OK, so I obviously have my two favorites which are the wrap-around dunk where he goes around his back and throws down, and then the free throw line between-the-legs dunk. These two dunks had my jaw on the floor and the other two were impressive and they would be some players’ best career dunks, but that just shows how incredible of an athlete Carr is.

If this doesn’t give you flashbacks to Shannon Brown in the 2003 Powerade Jam Fest when he converted a free throw line dunk that sent the crowd into a frenzy, I don’t know what to tell you. Carr is likely going to be the best in-game dunker that Michigan State has had since Brown, rivaling Miles Bridges as well.

It’s going to be really fun to watch AJ Hoggard, Tyson Walker, Jeremy Fears, and Jaden Akins throw some lobs to Carr next season and if he continues to work on his jumper like he has been, he’s going to be a legitimate NBA talent early on.

Carr is about to be a fan favorite in East Lansing.
