The college football bowl season is just about over and here’s what the Spartan Shadows staff believes will happen in the national title game.

Happy New Year, Spartan fans. I hope everyone had a great holiday season. Now that bowl season is wrapping up, we are in the final couple days of the college football picks articles.

It’s been a fun season in college football and I’ve had a blast doing these articles and picks each week. I know I speak for all of the guys involved with these articles in saying thank you for spending the weeks with us. We all really enjoy putting some good content out for people so this has been a real treat. Plus, it’s been fun competing against each other as well.

With one game left on the schedule, we will keep this article short and sweet.

Below, I will post the results of the Part 2 of bowl games. I’m going to hold off on doing a standings update for the competition until after the national title game so that way we don’t have to post them twice. Next week, I will have a final standings and recap article for everyone and we will call it a wrap on the 2023-24 season picks.

So without further ado, here are the last half of game results.

As you can see, we are pretty split on the outcome. I know in my case, I hoped Washington would win from early on this season. Ultimately I think the school down the road is going to win, but I definitely am rooting for the purple and gold. I have a lot of family from the Seattle area so the Huskies have been a team I root for since I visited campus back in the Jake Locker days. It’s really cool to see what they’ve built up there. Also, I’m happy for Michael Penix Jr. after what he went through with his injuries and everything at Indiana. Good for him to keep fighting and be this close to a championship.

That will do it for the picks and recaps. Happy natty watching for everyone. Please be sure to check back next week to see the final results and who comes out on top of the pick ’em from this year. Go Green, everyone.
