Jeremy Fears Jr. lobs Coen Carr insane alley-oop while on the ground (Video)

Are you starting to love basketball again? Yeah, this year’s Michigan State basketball team is looking like the classic Tom Izzo teams of the past and a large reason for that has been Jeremy Fears Jr. running the point and Coen Carr throwing down anything and everything helps, too.

The Spartans are just playing really good basketball right now from the top scorer all the way down to the 10th guy off the bench.

If you’ve been watching Michigan State recently, you’d notice that the Spartans are making some deep shots and playing complementary team ball. There’s almost an assist to every made bucket which is what made the Final Four teams in East Lansing so effective. Michigan State teams that pass the ball well are usually the ones that go the deepest in the NCAA Tournament.

When you’re an elite passing team with one of the best point guards in the Big Ten leading the way in that category, you’re bound to make some insane passes that leave the crowd wondering what the heck happened.

That’s what happened with Fears and a lob from the ground after he fell down to Carr.

This was one of the most insane plays that I’ve seen from a Michigan State player in a while. Not only did he fall and not panic after hitting the ground, but he kept his cool, surveyed the floor, and found a wide-open Coen Carr for an alley-oop from the perimeter. It takes a lot of strength and vision to complete a play like this and good for Carr to realize that the right point guard can make that play.

The Spartans extended the lead to 28-21 after this but then coasted to an 89-52 win which was an impressive showing against a 6-1 Nebraska team.

Michigan State doesn’t resume Big Ten play until January.
