That defender’s poor ankles.

Former Michigan State running back Kenneth Walker III had one of the best jukes you’ll see all season against Carolina on Sunday.

If you’re looking for positives around the Michigan State football program, look no further than the NFL.

I know, that may not make a ton of sense, but all of the positives regarding MSU lately have been coming from Spartans in the NFL. Young guys are flourishing and making names for themselves while Kirk Cousins continues to do his thing and never seems to get any help from his defense.

The biggest name to come out of Michigan State and flourish in the league recently is Kenneth Walker III.

The former MSU running back has been a superstar in his first year-plus in the league, rushing for over 1,000 yards as a rookie while making defenders look silly game in and game out.

Sunday was no exception.

Walker had arguably the best juke move you’ll see all season against a Carolina Panther defender. Just watch:

People in the replies were in awe of the move and one person even muttered the phrase “Barry Sanders like” when talking about the juke. And while I’m not going that far, I do think Kenneth Walker has a chance to be one of the most special running backs in the NFL for years. He’s already off to a solid start to his sophomore campaign, rushing for over 200 yards and four scores in three games, and he could become a rare back-to-back 1,000-yard rusher to kick off his pro career. That doesn’t happen often.

Walker finished Sunday’s game against the Panthers with 97 yards and two scores on 18 carries. He’s averaged over 5.0 yards per touch in two out of three games this season with his lone “poor” performance against the Lions (he still scored twice in that one).

The second-year running back out of Michigan State is getting better every year and he clearly hasn’t been bothered by the nagging injury he suffered in the preseason. As long as he can stay healthy, he’s going to blow right by 1,000 yards again.
