BASKETBALL
Michigan State basketball, hockey alcohol sales starting in 2024
A necessary addition for MSU basketball games.
Michigan State basketball and hockey will begin selling alcohol at Breslin and Munn starting in 2024. Great news for fans.
When the news was announced back in the summer that alcohol was finally being sold at games, the fans went crazy. This is something that Michigan State fans have wanted for a long time and it finally happened. While it happened at Spartan Stadium first, fans were still waiting for Michigan State basketball and hockey.
That wait is no longer because starting in 2024, alcohol will be sold at the Breslin Center and Munn Arena. These sales start on Jan. 4 versus Penn State at the Breslin and Jan. 5 for hockey against USNTDP. Beer and seltzers will be sold at both locations.
What will selling the alcohol look like? Beer and seltzers will be sold in separate locations and can be bought starting an hour before the game and up until the second half tip-off for basketball or the end of the second intermission. Costs will be either $10 or $12 depending on the selection. There has been no announcements on the exact location where the alcohol will be sold but it will be available starting the first of the year.
This gives the fans an opportunity to sit back, enjoy a drink and watch the basketball team and the nationally-ranked hockey team play (and win?).
