Michigan State basketball: Top 5-star CG target locks in visit

One of the top Michigan State basketball targets in the 2025 class will be taking a visit to East Lansing in October.

One of the top recruits in the country and the top recruit for Michigan State basketball in the 2025 class has scheduled an unofficial visit for Oct. 13 according to Jake Weingarten. That recruit is five-star guard Jalen Haralson.

Top-5 prospect in the 2025 class, Jalen Haralson, has locked in two more unofficial visits, he told @Stockrisers. Will visit Purdue on September 23rd and Michigan State on October 13th. Will be at Indiana in a few days for an unofficial and also has an Auburn official locked in.

Haralson is a combo guard who transferred to La Lumiere in Indiana and is a top-10 recruit in the 2025 class.

Not only is this an important visit for Michigan State, it also shows that Tom Izzo has been able to keep his momentum going from the 2023 and the 2024 classes. As of right now, it really seems like Izzo has been able to go after and get visits from almost every big-time recruit that he is targeting and Haralson is just another example of that.

While this is not an official visit, this visit is going to be in the middle of the football season. While the football game is going to be at Rutgers, if the team is doing well, there will be a buzz around campus. With the class of 2024 that is still being formed, it’s important that Michigan State continues to go after 2025 prospects as well.

You are seeing more teams do this, especially for the top talent and this is going to be true for Michigan State, too.

Michigan State basketball is not the only program that will be getting a visit from Haralson. In fact, he will also be visiting Purdue and Auburn. Having a recruiting battle with Auburn and Purdue will not be easy but it is an important one to try to win. We have seen Michigan State and Purdue battle for highly-rated players in the past from the state of Indiana and the battles have gone both ways.

Haralson’s recruitment will be a long process and it might be well over a year before he announces his decision but this is an important recruit for Izzo and Michigan State and one that fans should continue to monitor.
