Michigan State football releases perfect hype video for Washington game (Video)

Michigan State football released the perfect hype video ahead of the Washington game. It features a 2014 Rose Bowl hero.

The excitement and anticipation are building for this weekend’s Michigan State football game against No. 8 Washington.

The Huskies come to town after blowing out Tulsa and Boise State to open the season, rising to No. 8 in the AP Top 25 while the Spartans are 2-0 and in the midst of one of the most chaotic weeks in years.

Mel Tucker won’t be on the sidelines this weekend after getting suspended for some off-field issues that came to light last weekend and Harlon Barnett is taking over. Oh, and he’s getting some help from legendary head coach Mark Dantonio.

Barnett and Dantonio teaming up to coach Michigan State in a huge battle as home underdogs under the lights? Yeah, this is going to feel like prime Dantonio era all over again. Will we get similar results to the ones we’d usually get 10 years ago when Michigan State was overlooked by everyone? I really hope so.

Saturday’s game also happens to feature the 2013 Michigan State football team. That Rose Bowl-winning team will be back for a 10-year reunion and celebration at Spartan Stadium on Saturday. And it’s fitting that Dantonio will be back on the sidelines. To say that fans are excited about this game and the events surrounding it would be a massive understatement.

Look closely. Did you recognize a familiar face donning Saturday’s uniform combination? That’s right, 2014 Rose Bowl hero Kyler Elsworth was the one to reveal Michigan State’s jerseys for Saturday night’s game. The vibes after watching this video are immaculate.

Am I completely buying in ahead of this game? You bet I am. Dantonio and Barnett leading the way as underdogs at home against a top-10 team under the lights with the Rose Bowl team in town.
