Michigan State football: Quavaris Crouch may have found a new home

Former Michigan State football linebacker Quavaris Crouch may be on the move to a new home after a year off from playing.

When Quavaris Crouch transferred from Tennessee to Michigan State football prior to the 2021 season, there was plenty of excitement. He was a former five-star recruit who committed to Tennessee to play linebacker but he made the switch to linebacker where he recorded 85 total tackles, three tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, and three pass breakups in 22 career games.

He definitely made his presence felt in his first season at Michigan State, recording 75 total tackles, two sacks, and three pass breakups in 10 games.

Crouch had a solid season but never really became that superstar that everyone was expecting and he missed three games. He announced his intention to transfer after the season and that was kind of the last we ever heard of the athletic linebacker.

He didn’t play anywhere during the 2022 season and fans were kind of wondering if he’d ever resurface with the Spartans since he didn’t find a home, but the year came and passed with no news.

Now, it looks like he may have finally found a new home but he has yet to officially commit.

The only visit that has been made public for Crouch over the past year and a half was to Charlotte this spring and it just feels like that may be his new home.

Crouch took a visit this spring and it would make sense as the 49ers have been recruiting other Power Five transfers and he’s a native of Charlotte. He could head back home to finish his college career and potentially build an NFL draft resume with the 49ers.

While nothing is official yet, it’s starting to look like Charlotte would be the one program he would come back and play for to finish his college career.

It’ll be nice to see him land on his feet.
