Top Michigan State football target Nick Marsh has set his commitment date and time along with his finalists.

Will Michigan State football land one of the most talented wide receivers left in the 2024 class?

Nick Marsh has officially set a time for his commitment decision. The Spartans are one of five teams featured in the announcement:

Marsh is scheduled to be in East Lansing this weekend for an official visit. Initially committed to the Spartans, Marsh recently reopened his recruitment to explore his options. Giving Michigan State the final visit seems like an intentional choice. Marsh is able to now come back to the Spartans with all of the information and insight other programs have given him to make a more informed decision.

The Spartans are currently projected to be in a 50-50 split with Penn State according to 247Sports. Other sites such as On3 have a less optimistic look for the Spartans. On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons recently logged Penn State with a 79.4% chance to land a commitment from Marsh.

In a conversation with Simmons, Marsh said “I want to just take my time. But I know they’re bringing in some dogs, so their recruitment will also play a part for me.”

Michigan State is lagging noticeably behind in the recruiting department so that may be a hurdle the Spartans have to navigate. The program has started to gain momentum in the past week but good players want to play with other good players. The Spartans are hosting one of their most impressive groups of players for visits this weekend. The hope for Spartan fans is that the teams momentum continues and encourages guys like Marsh to join.

Whatever Marsh decides, Spartan fans won’t have to wait too much longer to know their fate. To say this weekend is an important one for Mel Tucker and company is an understatement.

The eyes of the fanbase will be glued to social media for the slightest clues the can find.
