Shortly after committing to Michigan State football, Anthony Carrie has begun trying to convince other recruits to join him.
Back in March, the newest Michigan State football running back Anthony Carrie took to Twitter with a very specific message: “Wherever I land, that program is gonna get a leader.” He was referencing his work on and off the field. That he was going to be someone who will set the tone and make a difference.
Less than 24 hours after Carrie committed his services to the Spartans, he began trying to make that difference. This time on the recruiting trail.
Early on Sunday, 2024 linebacker prospect Dylan Williams shared one of his pictures from his official visit to East Lansing. Carrie immediately commented on it saying, “Make that move, twin.”
Carrie actively helping to convince other recruits to join him in East Lansing is causing a ton of excitement among Spartan fans. After seeing that, On3’s Jason Killop also confirms that Scoota plans to reach out a few more top targets.
Doing so shows his commitment to the program and trying to make his class be the best class as possible. It’s a similar mindset that 2024 lineman commit Andrew Dennis shares. He spent every weekend in June on campus even after committing. The goal was to help convince as many players to join him in East Lansing and to begin bonding with his future teammates. Dennis and Carrie both are showing that “Spartan Dawg” mindset and stopping at nothing to help get as much talent to join the Michigan State football family.
Whether this turns into any commitments, we may not see for a while. Building relationships with fellow recruits is key, however. Not only to convince them to come to MSU, but also to further team chemistry once enrolled. The Michigan State athletic program is always preaching the “family” mentality. It is something prospective recruits say always stands out about MSU. This is the perfect example of striving towards that.
Shoutout to Carrie and Dennis for doing their best to try to make the 2024 recruiting class a special one. Look for the Spartans to be on commit watch for the next few days with other 2024 targets looking to make decisions in the coming weeks.
Hopefully more good news will be coming for us soon.
