Tyson Walker had the best play of Senior Night, and it didn’t even count (Video)

As the final buzzer sounded, Tyson Walker capped Senior Night off with the play of the night, and it didn’t even count.

With the game on the line, under 10 seconds left, and Boo Buie driving the lane, every Michigan State fan was just hoping for a quiet ending to an ugly game. It was anything but that — but for all the right reasons, thanks to Tyson Walker.

Buie attempted a contested layup which was altered by Malik Hall and instead of one of the 5-6 pairs of hands coming away with the rebound, Tre Holloman volleyball’d it the other way past half court to a waiting Walker. The cameras panned away as it looked like Walker was either going to dribble out the clock or maybe take a casual shot that wouldn’t count after the buzzer, but Tyson is far from casual.

With Jaden Akins trailing him and already celebrating a huge (ugly) win that essentially secured a spot in the NCAA Tournament, Walker bounced the ball from just in front of the free throw line and threw down a wild self-alley-oop windmill after the buzzer had sounded.

No, that’s not a typo.

You’re going to probably watch this on repeat all day.

It’s hard to believe that a guy who has barely dunked in his Michigan State career could throw down a dunk so vicious that could even make Coen Carr cry tears of jealousy. I mean, where the heck has this been?

Sure, Walker is more of a jump-shooter and his layup package is special, but if he had thrown down a dunk or two like this in his career, maybe this post-buzzer windmill wouldn’t have been that shocking. This had me nearly on the floor in shock. I didn’t know what to do with my hands.

Here’s to hoping his dunk package is being saved for the NCAA Tournament.
