Xavier Tillman has hilarious post-game interview moment on TNT (Video)

Xavier Tillman was shocked that he was chosen for the TNT post-game interview and had a hilarious moment on live TV.

When you think of the Memphis Grizzlies, two players usually come to mind: Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. That may have to change, however, as Xavier Tillman played the role of hero on Wednesday night as the Grizzlies bounced back from a 1-0 series deficit to beat the Lakers without Morant.

Tillman finished with a team-high 22 points and a game-high 13 rebounds while out-playing Anthony Davis on both ends of the floor. He added three assists and shot 10-for-13 from the floor.

Simply put, Tillman was clutch.

It was great to see Tillman and Jackson Jr. out there dominating like they did back in their Michigan State days.

Tillman’s performance was so impressive that he earned the post-game feature interview on TNT and kicked things off with a hilarious moment. Just watch:

Of course Tillman is the kind of guy to correct himself before he’s about to swear in front of millions of people, but not one would have blamed him if he did. He just had the performance of his career in a critical playoff game against LeBron James and Anthony Davis. He caught the attention of NBA fans everywhere with his performance and put the team on his back.

An underrated part of the video above is Jackson Jr. noticing Tillman being interviewed by TNT and fist-pumping in celebration. He was happy to see his friend and college teammate thriving on the big stage.

Now that Xavier Tillman is one of the most talked-about players in the NBA Playoffs right now, along with Draymond Green and Jackson Jr., he could see an increased role with Memphis going forward.

Maybe we’ll see another candid Tillman moment after a Game 3 win in Los Angeles.
