With the 2023 NFL Draft approaching, let’s take a look at ChopMan’s NFL mock draft of the best possible top-10 picks.
The 2023 NFL Draft is coming up on Thursday and everywhere you look it’s ‘NFL mock draft this’ ‘mock draft that.’ So I figured I would jump on the bandwagon and give you the most anticipated mock draft of the year.
Below, I give you Chop’s top-10 picks.
- Jayden Reed, WR (Michigan State)
- Do I really need to give an explanation? He is a certified organization changer. Plays bigger than his size and is unanimously the best player in the draft. Some lucky QB will now have the “(expletive) it, Jayden down there somewhere” play.
- Bryce Young, QB (Alabama)
- I would draft young second overall just so I could cut him for taking the 2021 Heisman away from Kenneth Walker the third.
- Bijan Robinson, RB (Texas)
- Also so I could cut him. Robinson has been getting a ton of hype and was taking attention away from K9 two seasons ago. Bust or not, cut from Chop’s squad.
- Ben VanSumeren, LB (Michigan State)
- As all of you NFL die hards know, college pro days are the No. 1 indicator of success at the next level. VanSumeren had the greatest pro day of all pro days in the history of the universe. I’m honestly surprised he’s not mocked 1-1 more often.
- Will Levis, QB (Kentucky)
- Mayo + coffee. I need a guy on my squad who can intimidate the living heck out of my opponents. Nothing is scarier than a guy who is not afraid to mix mayo with his coffee (gross).
- Stetson Bennett, QB (Georgia)
- Every team needs a locker room guy. If it isn’t evident enough after his two national titles at Georgia, The Mailman likes to have fun outside of football. Remember that interview he gave after his first natty on Good Morning America? Need someone to bring morale like that to my team.
- Bryce Baringer, P (Michigan State)
- Now I try my best to be an analytics guy. In my recent research, studies have shown that the punter position is quickly becoming the most important position in football. ‘The Punt God’ would go top 10 in my draft.
- Mazi Smith, DT (Michigan)
- I would draft Smith and then suspend him for his entire rookie year to make up for Jim Harbaugh’s mishandling of Mazi’s off the field issues last season. Teach him a lesson and then honestly probably trade him.
- Tank Bigsby, RB (Auburn)
- C’mon, he’s a member of college football’s ‘All-Name Team.’
- Deuce Vaughn, RB
- April is the start of ‘Short King Spring.’ At 5-foot-5, Deuce is the short king of the 2023 NFL Draft. Need a guy like that to be an inspiration to millions of height-challenged kids out there.
After talking with plenty of GMs in the league, expect Thursday’s first 10 selections to go exactly like this. It is a very running back-heavy top 10.
Peace & Love,
ChopMan
