It’s time.

Michigan State football

Michigan State Football has one of the best cultures in the country. Ever since Mel Tucker was hired, he has emphasized the importance of remembering and honoring the former Spartans who have played in the past.

That stance has taken our culture to the next level. Mark Dantonio set the groundwork for the culture we know and love today and Tucker is continuing that and improving on it. He has many events all year that welcome former players back to interact with the team and watch practice. It seems like every week a new former player is seen in the practice facilities.

With this great culture we have, it is no surprise to see former Spartan legends voicing their support today. Many have taken to Twitter to offer their best wishes and wish the team good luck as we kick things off tonight against Central Michigan.

Former Player and Coaches Tweets

See below as former star wide receivers Jayden Reed and BJ Cunningham send their best wishes to the team.

Former Pass Rush Specialist Brandon Jordan is even ready for the game tonight. This tweet surprised me a little since he was only with our program for one year. However, he played a huge role in the development of our guys and recruiting the 2023 class. Once a Spartan always a Spartan, even if it is for a short amount of time!

Even other Michigan State teams are excited for the game tonight including the baseball and men’s basketball teams.

Spartan Nation is ready. Everyone is giving their full support to the football team tonight and they are going to need it. Although Central Michigan seems like an easy opponent, this by no means will be an easy game. The Chippewas are desperate to pull off the upset tonight for the first time since 2009. This will be a good one.
