With Pro Bowl season right around the corner, teams are running creative campaigns to get their players voted in. The Green Bay Packers, while hated by us Lions fans, had one of the best campaigns for a former Michigan State star. That’s right, they are pushing hard for Jayden Reed.

On Sunday, the Packers’ official X account pushed for fans to vote Reed to the Pro Bowl and posted an impressive list of accomplishments.

The second-year wide receiver from Michigan State has already been highly productive through the first 25 games of his NFL career. In fact, he’s made NFL history as the only player in the league’s history to have 100-plus catches, 1,400-plus receiving yards, 10-plus receiving touchdowns, 200-plus rushing yards, and multiple rushing touchdowns through the first 25 games of his career.

Think of all the elite receivers that have come through the league, none of them have accomplished all of these feats through their first 25 games which says a lot about how versatile and valuable Jayden Reed really is with the Packers.

Reed’s numbers are down slightly so far this season but the Packers have three games to play, including Monday night’s contest against the Saints.

If Reed can average about 125 receiving yards per game over his final three, he can break the 1,000-yard mark which hasn’t been done by a Spartan in the NFL since Plaxico Burress. It’s possible, too, seeing as he’s the Packers’ top receiver and he has been the most targeted playmaker in the pass game. If he goes off against the Saints, the Vikings, and the Bears, he could become a 1,000-yard wideout and it’d be hard to justify leaving him out of the Pro Bowl.

It’s good to see Reed having success in the league because Spartan fans expected that when he turned pro. The stars from that 2021 team seem to be doing well in the NFL.
