The Spartans continue their momentum on the recruiting trail, and they move fast. Max Bullough and Michigan State football identified Rome Ewell as a target on Monday, and have already locked in an official visit with the no. 11 linebacker from Texas in less than 36 hours.
The Word on Rome Ewell
Ewell is a productive linebacker out of Springtown High School (Texas), with over 200 tackles between his last two seasons playing varsity football. He is ranked no. 1046 nationally, and no. 95 among linebackers in the class.
The Spartans became his first Big Ten offer on Monday, and quickly worked to land a visit with the prospect. Max Bullough, thus far, has had a very productive recruiting trip.
Michigan State football is now trending as “warm” with Ewell, the first team to be marked so on his 247Sports page. While crystal balls, or predictions, have not started rolling in yet, the Spartans have to like their chances. They will get the last visit of the season with Ewell, hosting him on June 19-21.
Who Else is Hosting the Productive Linebacker?
The Spartans will compete with Houston (May 28 visit), Louisville (June 5), and Iowa State (June 12). He was scheduled to visit Boston College the weekend of June 19, but it appears his visit will be in East Lansing instead. He also had a Kansas State visit that was cancelled earlier in the process.
