Michigan State basketball knew it’d be getting a visit from five-star forward Dwayne Aristode and now there’s an official date.
Tom Izzo and Michigan State basketball seem to be in good shape when it pertains to recruiting.
The Spartans landed one of the top classes in 2023, headlined by Jeremy Fears, Coen Carr, and Xavier Booker and then they followed that up with another solid class in 2024, led by Kur Teng and Jase Richardson. While Izzo hasn’t gotten a single commitment in 2025 yet, it feels like he’s on the verge of doing just that with guys like Trey McKenney or Dwayne Aristode.
The latter was planning a visit to East Lansing this fall but there was no date set. Now, we know the date.
According to 24/7 High School Hoops, Aristode will be in East Lansing next weekend.
This is a big-time official visit for Izzo and Co. because it feels like they not only made up a ton of ground in this recruitment but they’ve maybe even snuck out to a slight lead. Aristode was barely on the radar a couple of months ago, but Izzo made him a priority and now the five-star small forward from New Hampshire is going to be on campus for the football season opener against FAU.
Aristode will also visit USC on Sept. 18 and then Duke on Sept. 20. He’s already taken trips to Arizona and Wake Forest. The one visit that probably worries be the most is Duke. The Blue Devils always seem to give Izzo a hard time on the recruiting trail.
But it’s a good sign that he’ll be in East Lansing for one of the most exciting weekends of the year and we all know how much Izzo loves football. He’ll get to focus on recruiting Aristode all weekend and he’ll show him just how electric campus can be.
Aristode is the No. 19 overall recruit in the 2025 class as well as the third-best small forward, per the 247Sports Composite.
